That journey began in Sedan, Kansas, where the distillery first operated inside the historic Bradford Hotel. It was here, in a small Kansas town, that the founders focused on what matters most in great bourbon: quality ingredients, patience in the barrel, and creating a product they were proud to share.

As the brand has grown, so has the vision. Today, Gunnar’s Bourbon is entering its next chapter as operations move to Wichita, Kansas, allowing the distillery to expand while staying rooted in its Kansas beginnings.


Though the location may change, the approach behind Gunnar’s remains the same. The brand is still guided by family values, a commitment to craftsmanship, and the belief that bourbon is meant to be shared.

From nine cousins in the Bradford Hotel in Sedan to the next chapter in Wichita, Gunnar’s Bourbon continues to build on a foundation of family, patience, and quality bourbon.
